# Ingredients You'll Need:

01 - 1 fresh ginger root, roughly chopped
02 - 1 cup brown sugar
03 - 1 cup water

06 - Sparkling mineral water

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Combine chopped ginger, brown sugar, and water in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
02 - Simmer gently for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the ginger flavor intensifies.
03 - Remove from heat, let the syrup cool completely, then strain into a jar and discard the ginger pieces.
