Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and chopped onion. Cook for about 8 minutes, breaking beef into crumbles until browned.

Add salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Stir and cook for 2 minutes to allow the spices to bloom.

Stir in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, and barbecue sauce. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 3 minutes until combined.

Remove from heat. Sprinkle Colby Jack cheese evenly over the beef mixture.

Arrange frozen tater tots in rows over the cheese. Bake in a preheated 400°F oven for 25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
