Smoky-sweet slow-cooked beef brisket piled on fluffy buns, topped with crunchy onions, tangy slaw, and punchy pickles.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Brisket

01 - 2.5 kg beef brisket
02 - 6 burger buns
03 - Pickles for topping
04 - Sliced onions for topping
05 - Coleslaw for topping
06 - Extra barbecue sauce for the table
07 - 360 ml barbecue sauce, split

→ BBQ Dry Rub

08 - 1 tablespoon brown sugar, light
09 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
10 - 1 teaspoon black pepper
11 - 1 teaspoon salt
12 - 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
13 - 1 teaspoon onion powder

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Pour 240 ml of your barbecue sauce into the slow cooker to get things going.
02 - Mix brown sugar together with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
03 - Press the dry rub all over the beef brisket so it’s covered on every side.
04 - Set your brisket inside the slow cooker, close the lid, and cook on low for 7-8 hours until it’s nice and soft.
05 - Lift your brisket out to a board. Give it 10 minutes to chill out, then pull it apart with forks or slice it into thin pieces.
06 - Stack the pulled brisket onto buns. Add pickles, onions, coleslaw, and as much extra barbecue sauce as you want.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Resting the brisket after cooking helps keep the meat juicy by letting the moisture soak back in.
