09 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
10 - 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
11 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
12 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
13 - 1 teaspoon creole seasoning
14 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
15 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

→ Shrimp and Frying

16 - 1 pound extra large shrimp with tail on peeled and deveined
17 - Peanut oil for frying
18 - Kosher salt to taste

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat peanut oil in a deep fryer or Dutch oven to 350°F. Place a wire rack over a sheet tray for draining fried shrimp.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, buttermilk, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, creole seasoning, paprika, and black pepper. Add shrimp and toss to coat.
03 - In a separate bowl, stir together flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, onion powder, creole seasoning, paprika, and black pepper until fully combined.
04 - Remove shrimp from wet mixture, let excess drip off, then coat in the dry cornmeal-flour blend. Place coated shrimp on a plate.
05 - Carefully lower shrimp into hot oil in small batches. Fry for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
06 - Transfer fried shrimp to wire rack and immediately sprinkle with kosher salt. Repeat with remaining shrimp.
07 - Serve hot with your preferred dipping sauce or as part of a main dish.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Let coated shrimp rest briefly before frying to help crust adhere better.
02 - Do not overcrowd the fryer to ensure even cooking and maintain oil temperature.
