Steak Egg Cheese Bagel (Printable Recipe)

Juicy steak, creamy eggs, and melted cheese layered on a toasted bagel with tangy sauce—better than the original.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Steak Mixture

01 - 8 oz shaved steak
02 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
03 - 1 tsp Montreal steak seasoning
04 - 1 tbsp unsalted butter

→ Eggs

05 - 4 large eggs, beaten
06 - 1 tbsp unsalted butter

→ Caramelized Onions

07 - 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
08 - 1 tbsp unsalted butter
09 - 1 pinch salt

→ Special Sauce

10 - 2 tbsp mayonnaise
11 - 1 tsp yellow mustard
12 - 1/4 tsp dried dill

→ Assembly

13 - 2 bagels, sliced and toasted
14 - 2 slices American cheese

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Mix mayonnaise, yellow mustard, and dried dill in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.
02 - Melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Add sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook until golden brown, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
03 - Add butter to the same pan. Scramble the beaten eggs gently over medium heat until just set but still creamy. Divide into two portions.
04 - Toss shaved steak with Worcestershire sauce and steak seasoning. Melt butter in the pan and cook steak until browned. Add onions back and mix well.
05 - Divide the steak and onion mixture into two portions in the pan and top each with a slice of cheese. Let it melt slightly.
06 - Toast bagel halves. Spread sauce on both sides. Layer eggs, then steak with melted cheese, and close with top bagel half.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Use the same pan throughout to enhance flavor and reduce cleanup.
02 - Avoid overcooking the steak to keep it tender.
03 - Scramble eggs until just set to maintain a creamy texture.
04 - Toast bagels to prevent sogginess from the fillings.
05 - You can prep components ahead and assemble fresh in the morning.
