Turkey Broccoli Bowls (Printable Recipe)

Juicy turkey, tender-crisp broccoli, and a lively sweet-spicy sauce pile high in a bowl for a quick meal that fills you up.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Main Components

01 - 3 cups (600 g) of cooked brown rice or another kind you like
02 - 12 oz (340 g) broccoli florets, chopped into small pieces
03 - 450 g ground turkey, go for lean or extra lean
04 - 15 ml olive oil

→ Sweet and Spicy Sauce

05 - 80 ml sweet chili sauce
06 - 15 ml grated fresh ginger
07 - 30 ml honey
08 - 30 ml soy sauce
09 - 3 g garlic powder
10 - 10–20 ml Sriracha, tweak the amount as spicy as you want
11 - 15 ml toasted sesame oil

→ Garnishes (optional)

12 - Extra Sriracha
13 - Extra sweet chili sauce
14 - Sesame seeds
15 - Green onions, thinly sliced

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Splash on some more sweet chili sauce or Sriracha if that’s your thing. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion slices, and you’re good to dig in.
02 - Scoop the hot rice into four bowls. Add your turkey mix and finish with some bright green broccoli right on top.
03 - Pop the broccoli florets into a steamer. Steam them a few minutes, just until they're barely soft but still have a snap.
04 - Pour your sauce over the turkey, then stir and let it bubble gently. Let it cook a few minutes until it gets a little thicker. Toss in a bit of salt if you think it needs it.
05 - Grab a bowl and whisk the sweet chili sauce, honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, garlic powder, and fresh ginger together until smooth.
06 - Drizzle olive oil in a big skillet and crank up the heat to medium-high. Toss in the turkey and cook, breaking it up till there’s no pink left and it’s nicely browned.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Dial up the Sriracha for extra heat, or go light if you want it milder.
02 - This dish tastes best fresh, so try to eat right after making for the best flavor and texture.
