Place eggs in a single layer in a pot, cover with cold water by one inch. Bring to a rolling boil, remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 12 minutes. Transfer to an ice bath to cool.

Peel eggs and slice lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a mixing bowl. Add mayonnaise and chili garlic sauce. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture into the egg white halves, creating a slight mound above the edge.

Dust each filled egg with smoked paprika. Top with crispy fried onions just before serving.
