Cajun shrimp in creamy Boursin sauce tossed with tender penne for a comforting, bold-flavored meal.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Main

01 - 1 lb large Argentinian shrimp, peeled and deveined
02 - 2 tbsp lemon juice
03 - 2 tbsp olive oil
04 - 12 oz penne pasta
05 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter
06 - 1 medium yellow onion, diced
07 - 1 cup heavy cream
08 - 5.2 oz Boursin cheese (Garlic & Fine Herbs)
09 - 1 tsp salt
10 - 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

→ Seasonings

11 - 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
12 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
13 - 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
14 - 1/2 tsp dried oregano

# Steps to Follow:

01 - In a bowl, toss shrimp with lemon juice, olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and oregano. Set aside to marinate.
02 - Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté diced onion for 5 minutes. Add salt, then pour in heavy cream and stir in flour slurry off heat.
04 - Return pan to low heat. Add Cajun spices, return shrimp, and stir in Boursin cheese. Simmer for 5 minutes until smooth.
05 - Cook penne in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining. Rinse pasta with cold water.
06 - Add cooked pasta and reserved water to sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes to thicken and coat pasta evenly.
07 - Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot with grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, and black pepper.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Reserve some pasta water to emulsify the sauce and enhance its creamy texture.
02 - Removing the pan from heat before adding the flour slurry prevents lumps in the sauce.
03 - Do not overcook shrimp—1–2 minutes per side is enough to keep them juicy.
