                Once the cod is cooked through, take it out and lay the pieces on paper towels for a minute. Plate them up hot, and if you want, pair with whatever side dish or salad you like.

                Lay the breaded fish in the air fryer basket, making sure they don't crowd each other. Let them cook about 10–12 minutes. You're looking for a crunchy golden outside and flaky inside.

                Turn the air fryer to 200°C and let it run for 5 minutes so it gets nice and hot before you put the fish in.

                Dip each cod chunk into the lemon juice so it's damp. Press it all around in the cheesy breadcrumb mix so the crust sticks on well.

                Dump the panko, grated cheese, salt, pepper, and a hit of paprika in a bowl. Give it all a good stir so it looks even.

                Give the cod pieces a quick rinse with cold water, then dry them off carefully with paper towel. Chop them into 150 g pieces so they cook at the same speed.
