Crockpot Mexican Shredded Chicken (Printable Recipe)

Easy shredded chicken with salsa and seasoning. Ideal for tacos, enchiladas, bowls, and meal prep.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 1/4 cups salsa
02 - 1 packet taco seasoning or 1/4 cup homemade taco seasoning
03 - 1 1/2 pounds skinless chicken breasts
04 - Juice from 1 lime
05 - 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Stir together salsa and taco seasoning directly in the base of a slow cooker.
02 - Place the chicken breasts over the salsa mixture in an even layer.
03 - Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 6 hours until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
04 - Remove the chicken from the cooker and shred with two forks until finely pulled.
05 - Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker, stir in lime juice and chopped cilantro, and mix until well combined.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Cooking on low yields juicier chicken. A slow cooker that automatically switches to warm can make meal prep more convenient.
