                Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.

                In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and cook until translucent, about 3 to 4 minutes.

                Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and sauté, stirring often, until the cabbage is soft and slightly caramelized, about 10 to 15 minutes.

                Add the minced garlic, remaining butter, and cooked noodles to the skillet. Stir well to combine and let everything cook together for another 2 to 3 minutes.

                Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Stir in soy sauce if using, and garnish with parsley or green onions before serving.
