Once your sandwich is put together, lightly press it. Cut it in half with a serrated knife and dig in right away.

Grab your toasted bread and slather both sides with that mayo. Put the lettuce on one slice, folding it if it's too big. Arrange the seasoned tomato slices over the lettuce. Lay the bacon halves right on top. Pop the last piece of bread on with the mayo facing in.

Stick the sandwich bread in the toaster until each slice gets a nice, light golden color and some crunch.

Cut your tomato into thick, round slices with a serrated knife. Lay them on two paper towels to soak up wetness. Sprinkle salt and pepper on each side.

Warm up your skillet over a medium flame, or set your oven to 200°C. Cook bacon strips until they're perfectly crispy and browned, and all the fat's melted out. Move them on a paper towel to blot any extra grease.
