Slow Cooker Beef Tips (Printable Recipe)

# Ingredients You'll Need:

01 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
02 - 2 pounds cubed beef chuck or stew meat
03 - 1 large onion, sliced
04 - 2 cups beef stock
05 - 1 packet French onion soup mix
06 - 1 bay leaf
07 - 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
08 - Salt and pepper to taste
09 - 2 tablespoons cornstarch
10 - 1/4 cup water
11 - Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add half the beef and onions, sear until browned and onions are soft.
02 - Remove the first batch, add remaining olive oil and repeat the searing process with the remaining beef and onions.
03 - Return all beef and onions to the pot. Pour in beef stock, add soup mix, bay leaf, Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
04 - Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 90 minutes until meat is tender.
05 - Mix cornstarch with water, stir into pot and cook for several minutes until gravy thickens.
06 - Discard bay leaf. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
