BBQ Beef Brisket (Printable Recipe)

This brisket turns out ultra juicy thanks to hours in a slow cooker, and gets wrapped up in tortillas for a hearty meal you can eat with your hands.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Brisket & Fixings

01 - 12 corn or flour tortillas
02 - 360 millilitres barbecue sauce (save some for topping)
03 - 1.1 kilograms trimmed beef brisket

→ BBQ Spice Mix

04 - 2 grams ground black pepper
05 - 6 grams salt
06 - 3 grams onion powder
07 - 3 grams garlic powder
08 - 8 grams smoked paprika
09 - 13 grams light brown sugar

→ Extra Stuffings

10 - Red onion, chopped up
11 - Fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
12 - Shredded Monterey Jack cheese

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Toss the salt, onion powder, sugar, smoked paprika, black pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl. Stir them up well so you've got a nice blend.
02 - Coat every part of the brisket with your spice mix. Make sure you don't miss any spots.
03 - Add 240 millilitres barbecue sauce to your slow cooker first. Sit the brisket right on top. Pop the lid on and cook low and slow, about 7 to 8 hours, 'til it's super tender.
04 - Once it's done, lift the brisket out. Let it chill on a board for 10 minutes so it stays juicy. Then, shred it up or slice it thin across the grain.
05 - Warm up your tortillas. Heap in the brisket, drizzle with leftover BBQ sauce, and pile on cilantro, cheese, and onions if you like.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Letting your brisket sit before cutting keeps it juicy and makes it more tender.
