French Dip Tortilla Roll Ups (Printable Recipe)

Baked tortillas with provolone, roast beef, and onions served with homemade au jus for dipping. Quick and delicious!

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Roll Up Assembly

01 - 4 large 12-inch flour tortillas
02 - 4 slices provolone cheese, deli-sliced
03 - 8 ounces deli-sliced roast beef
04 - 3/4 cup French fried onions
05 - 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

→ Au Jus Dipping Sauce

06 - 1 can (10.5 ounces) beef consommé
07 - 3/4 cup water
08 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
09 - 1 teaspoon soy sauce
10 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
11 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper for even browning and easy cleanup.
02 - Lay each tortilla flat on clean counter. Place one slice of provolone on one side, followed by 2 ounces roast beef and generous handful of French fried onions. Roll tightly to contain fillings. Brush closing edge with olive oil to seal.
03 - Place all roll ups seam-side down on prepared baking sheet. Brush tops and sides lightly with remaining olive oil for golden crispness.
04 - Bake for 8-10 minutes until exterior is lightly browned and cheese is melted and bubbly at seams. Check at 8 minutes to prevent overbrowning.
05 - While roll ups bake, combine beef consommé, water, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder in small saucepan. Whisk over medium heat until bubbling and fragrant.
06 - Let roll ups rest 2-3 minutes for clean cuts. Slice crosswise into halves or thirds. Serve immediately with hot au jus for dipping.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Warm tortillas briefly in microwave if stiff to prevent cracking during rolling.
02 - Let rolls rest 2-3 minutes after baking for easier slicing and less cheese spillage.
03 - For deepest flavor, choose beef consommé over regular broth when available.
04 - Seal tortilla edges with olive oil and bake seam-side down to prevent unrolling.
