# Ingredients You'll Need:

01 - 2 eggs
02 - Pinch of salt
03 - 600 g minced meat (beef, pork, or a mix)
04 - 1 medium onion, finely chopped
05 - 1/4 head cabbage, roughly shredded
06 - 1 pepper, diced
07 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
08 - Ground black pepper and salt to taste
09 - 2 tablespoons tomato sauce

→ Potato Layers

10 - 1 kg potatoes, peeled and diced
11 - 2 eggs
12 - Chopped dill, to taste
13 - 80 g mozzarella cheese

→ Pickled Onion Topping

14 - 1 small onion, thinly sliced
15 - 1 teaspoon sugar
16 - 2 teaspoons apple or wine vinegar
17 - 1 teaspoon soy sauce
18 - Chopped dill, to taste

19 - 1/4 head cabbage, shredded
20 - 1 cucumber, sliced
21 - 1/2 bell pepper, diced
22 - Olive oil, salt, and pepper to taste

# Steps to Follow:

01 - In a skillet over low heat, sauté the chopped onion until translucent. Add minced meat, break it up, and cook until lightly browned. Season with salt and pepper.
02 - Add shredded cabbage, diced pepper, and minced garlic. Stir and cook on low heat until vegetables soften.
03 - Stir in tomato sauce and cover. Let simmer for 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning as needed.
04 - In salted water, boil the diced potatoes for 20 to 25 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and set aside.
05 - Mash the cooked potatoes and mix in eggs, chopped dill, salt, and pepper for a seasoned mash.
06 - Line a round 18 cm pan with greased baking paper. Spread half the mashed potatoes in the base. Add the entire meat mixture. Top with remaining mashed potatoes and flatten gently. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
07 - Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (356 °F) for 25 minutes until golden and bubbling.
08 - In a bowl, combine sliced onion, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, and dill. Let sit for 20 minutes to pickle.
