01 - 3 pounds pork shoulder trimmed
02 - 12 fluid ounces root beer
03 - 18 ounces barbecue sauce
04 - 8 hamburger buns split

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Place the trimmed pork shoulder into the slow cooker ensuring it sits evenly on the base.
02 - Pour the root beer over the pork ensuring it is mostly submerged to promote even cooking and flavor.
03 - Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until the pork is very tender and easily shredded with a fork.
04 - Remove the pork from the cooker and shred using two forks discarding excess fat and bone if present.
