French Dip Tortilla Roll Ups (Printable Recipe)

Soft tortillas filled with roast beef, provolone, crispy onions, baked golden and served with flavorful dip.

# Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Fillings

01 - 4 large 12-inch flour tortillas
02 - 4 slices provolone cheese
03 - 0.5 lb deli sliced roast beef
04 - 0.75 cup French fried onions

→ Finishing

05 - 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

→ Au Jus

06 - 1 can (10.5 oz) beef consommé
07 - 0.75 cup water
08 - 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
09 - 1 tsp low sodium soy sauce
10 - 0.5 tsp onion powder
11 - 0.5 tsp garlic powder

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure even browning and easy cleanup.
02 - Lay each tortilla flat. Layer one slice of provolone cheese, one quarter of the roast beef, and a handful of French fried onions on one side. Roll tightly to contain fillings without tearing. Brush a light coat of olive oil along the closing edge to seal.
03 - Place the roll ups seam side down on the lined sheet. Brush tops and sides lightly with olive oil to promote crispness and golden color during baking.
04 - Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, checking at 8 minutes. They are done when the exterior is lightly browned and cheese is melted and bubbly at the seams.
05 - While roll ups bake, combine beef consommé, water, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small saucepan. Whisk over medium heat until heated through and fragrant.
06 - Allow roll ups to rest for 2 minutes for cleaner slicing. Cut crosswise into halves or thirds. Serve on a platter with hot au jus for dipping.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Warm tortillas briefly in the microwave if stiff to prevent cracking while rolling.
02 - Rest roll ups for 2-3 minutes after baking to ensure easy slicing and avoid cheese spillage.
03 - For deeper flavor, choose beef consommé over regular broth for the au jus.
